To all new members!!

Welcome to the network! I have noticed a pickup in new people and think it is great. I just wanted to take a moment to encourage everyone. If you have been looking around on the network I know you probably get nervous thinking this car must be a lemon because most of us spend a lot of time talking about problems, (bearings, trannys, etc.). I just came back from the smokies meet. We took the dragon 318 curves in 11 miles, and the car handled unbelievably. It was solid and powerful. Then I get on the expressway and it as smooth as silk. I stayed at 80mph the entire way home 249 mi. and arrived on a half tank of gas, with a very pessimistic feul guage. VERY few cars can boast these attributes.

Yes like all cars it has problems, but if you shop around it really isn't all that much more expensive. Just don't be discouraged. Any weaknesses this car has a very far surpassed by the qualitys. Have fun! Just don't run it to death. It will never stop surprising you.

Thumbs up

Nice work, Tony. After the Dragon I drove south again to swim wit' da' fishes in The Lost Sea, then all over Tennessee trying to find Virginia. Then I did most of the Blue Ridge Parkway - hit 125,000 miles while pulling a hill - nothing as drastic as the Dragon, but it was nice to actually SEE the mountains & trees, rather than as a blur of asphalt & leaves. I had the road mostly to myself, with almost no traffic. Just Monday, I guess.
No SVX maladies arose in over 1000 miles of "very" varied driving conditions. I also got over 28 mpg over one 400 mile stretch.
Treat her nice & she'll "keep you".

Ron (kept man).

Hey Ron

Glad to see you made it safely with no problems. That Virginia place is tough to find, especially after a box or two of wine isn't it? I hope to see you at future meets it was definitely a lot of fun meeting you. I guess I'm a kept man too.

Tony
