I'm new, really clean cars here
Yo, I'm Brian. I'm a moderator on a local board and just traded my 2000 type r-swapped Civic for this along with $2k. I can't believe they paid me to trade!
1992 SVX with 85k miles, fully loaded. Only problems are a slow-leaking tranny pan gasket, front bumper has some scrapes, and the drivers window switch contact is bad. Other than that it's a kickass car and I couldn't have found a better deal. I took it out for a little spirited driving and it handles like it knows where to go before I do. It's auto but whatever, I actually kind of enjoy not having to shift in slow traffic. I'm amazed at how clean this car is for being 13 years old . It was hesitating here and there so I replaced the air and fuel filters.. now it rides like a dream. Pictures: Last edited by Ricochet; 07-30-2005 at 03:11 AM. |

I also have this little guy. It's a 1985 Nissan 200SX rwd turbo. It's pretty fun, and more of a toy that I'll probably break a lot. That's good because parts are super cheap for it. It's got an upgraded T25 turbo boosting 11psi (for now), jdm CA18DET block, aftermarket fans, gauges, wheels, nardi steering wheel, and a cd player. It's in the shop right now getting petty stuff fixed, along with a set of Tokico Illuminas installed Well let me know what you think. I'm going to need some help with the SVX, but I'll post all that stuff in the right areas.. Last edited by Ricochet; 07-30-2005 at 03:25 AM. |

Welcome to the site. You got yourself a rare silver one! Congrats! The hold up very well as they were made as lux vehicles so if they aren't abused they last much longer than an average econo car. I'm sure your read up on it before getting it but the tranny is the biggest thing with 'em. Make sure you have a VERY LARGE tranny cooler added, a gauge and change that fluid reguarlly with Mobil 1 sythetic atf. Enjoy.

Here are some sales numbers by color. This came from Brian DeLacey's newsletter from the old "SVX Motor Club" and the numbers came straight from SofA. As of 9/17/1993, US sales by color were: Liquid Silver: 880 Claret: 1492 Black: 1507 Pearl White: 1943 Teal: 1944 When I bought my car in 6/93, it was the only silver SVX available in the LA area: Al the others I found were either Black or Pearlies |
