Need help disconnecting switches!!
I'm taking some switches out of my 94 and I can't seem to figure out how to disconnect the dash switches on either side of the steering wheel.....security, fog, cruise, flashers, etc... I've pulled them out of their sockets, pulled down the bottom trim under the wheel, disconnected the mirror control and park lamp switches etc, etc....I can see the connectors, but I can't get my hands on them to yank them apart. Any trick to this???

The plug ussualy gets stuck behind the dash. Acctually, I'm not sure I've ever been able to get them out either?

Well I have done this a few times but it was awhile ago. I do know that all the connectors in the svx have type of locking feature. Sometimes the lock get pushed or squeezed and sometimes the lock has to get pulled or pryed with a small flat bladed screw driver. I have found that in tight spaces as in under the dash, several small flat screw drivers are helpful. One or two to open the lock and another to wedge the two halves apart. Just go easy and take your time and don't break anything. A light is also helpful to see things. Another thing that is helpful would be about 15 years of dedicated Yoga practice. Otherwise it is a real pain to get under the dash.
