Personally, I don't mind the new grill on any color Impreza. While Imprezas are more common than SVXs (Subaru sold 2,500+ units in January '06), it's far from being a mass produced car like the neon/SRT-4's...

It definitely makes the line stand-out whether you're looking at the base Impreza 2.5i or the top-of-the-line STI.

Hey, I have to stir the pot from time to time. I personally don't like it, but that's just me. And Alan. Most people will only see the back Chike, so don't worry about it.

...and then you have to see the new ricey Altezza-style taillights.

the new look hasn't, and won't be growing on me - its just a matter of opinion.

apparently, they are re-doing the Tribeca front end already, probably due to the grief they've taken over the styling.

At least the tails are a factory stock piece. The painted red caps in your engine bay on the other hand...that's rice!

Ha ha! I guess those aftermarket stickers could be considered 'rice'.

Luckily, the awd sticker under my rear wiper was a Subaru design (taken from the STI) and the 'design giugiaro' was a little Italian ricey touch I felt suited the car very well....

True rice is painting a stock bumper black to make it appear carbon fiber...or putting a GT-R emblem on the back of a Ford Probe...or even adding a huge rear wing on a fwd grocery-getter (i.e. civic, neon, cavalier, etc)!

yup, looking fast with nothing to back it up. i don't think anyone will think my painted caps or your Guigaro stickers would be intended to imply more performance.

just don't start slapping STi badges on your WRX. i've seen them on LGT's. they do look nice on the mesh grille, but there's something not right about it.

I don't plan to. I also think it's kinda ricey...

Now how can that grille have ANYTHING to do with GM?!

Even GM isn't desperate enough to design something THAT ugly!!!!

I think you're forgetting about the last gens of the PukingChicken and Camaro. Those front ends definately won't win any awards except from the styling school at J.C. Whitney.

WHAT?!! The Avalanche looks awesome!

Ok, the Sunfire was borderline ugly.

The Firbird front end looks very cool, the WS6 is WICKED looking (I can see how some people may see the ram air scoop as being a bit unruly looking), and the Camaro is not awesome, but far from what i'd call ugly.

None of the cars mentioned look near as bad as the new WRX or Tribeca front ends IMO. I just can't imagine what subaru was thinking, they had good looking cars last year.
