Talking Anatomy of a resonator

Not sure if this is old news or not, but I've never seen a picture posted of this here before so I thought I'd share.

Ever wonder what your intake resonator looks like inside? Maybe everyone that has removed theirs has opened it up, but if not, here's a picture!

Pretty interesting actually, the inlet pipe dips down into the box and back out the other side, like a bit "U". At the very bottom of the "U" you can see a slight gap, the pipe is actually cut in half there and it must allow air to get out into the rest of the big box so it can do it's silencing job.

BTW: Don't try this at home unless you don't want your resonator ever again.
