My sti wheels are done.

Hi there.
I finally got tires mounted on my grey sti wheels.
IMHO I think they look better grey on a dark colored car.
Hope you like the pics.

Re: My sti wheels are done.

The darker color on the wheels looks awesome. What tire size did you put on them? The normal 225 45 17 or something different?

Alex, I believe the 06 and up STi wheels are also the 5x114.3. They do look good. Congrats. I am picking up my wheels today, but I am getting the 05 mustang GT wheels.

Re: My sti wheels are done.

doh. I thought that, then questioned myself to why they would have changed that from the 04 to the 05 STi. Thanks for fixing my misinformation.

I'm no STI expert, but I believe the fenders were flared in 05, allowing the 17x8 BBS to fit. The 04 STI had the R180 and Brembos, so the wheel change had nothing to do with that. The 04 BBS were 17x7.5, and of course, lighter in weight .

Some great wheels in our size from Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai, Mazda, Ford, Lincoln, etc. EBAY search OEM 18, 19, or whatever you want.

Re: My sti wheels are done.

Thanks for the compliments.
And for Sean486, yes the tires are 225/45R17's.
I had also found out recently that only the 04' STI's had the 5x100 pattern.
Which is also why they are so rare and expensive.

Rare and expensive because they fit WRX/Impreza

What brand tires did you mount?

Re: My sti wheels are done.

Will stock SVX lug nuts work with 06 STI BBS wheels? If not what is the best option? I have a set of BBS wheels available to me and want to be sure of the lug nut situation before I purchase them. All input is greatly appreciated, Thank you.
