Question Wiring diagram for N62 MAF

hey does anyone have the wiring diagram for the N62 MAF (it should be like that of a Z32 I was told). Want to make sure I am hooking it up right so I don't fry my ECU.

Re: Wiring diagram for N62 MAF

Do you have a stage 2 package? You know you can't just use a z32 air flow meter without new ecu tuning right? The wires go in the same order on the z32 meter as the svx meter. The harnesses I sell are for skylines and have 4 wires just like the svx. A harness from most anywhere else will be for a z and have 5 wires. The 5th wire is extraneous and doesn't connect to anything. It's all in the stage 2 directions.

Mike,

This car was formerly owned by TomsSVX, and was equipped with your software. I think he seeking a more clarified response, as to which wire plugs in where, being that car does not have a MAF plug anymore, but instead individual leads.

Re: Wiring diagram for N62 MAF

I don't remember the colors; that's why I say not to discard the SVX OE plug. It is your/my roadmap to work by. My harness is thoroughly taped up so I'd rather not tear it apart. If anyone can look at the order of the wires on the SVX harness that aught to give him the info he is missing due to the lack of a plug being left on the car.

Re: Wiring diagram for N62 MAF

What exactly are you dealing with here. Which version software do you have? What fuel injectors do you have? Did you install the fuel injectors or did they come with the car? If you installed them did you use new upper and lower fuel injector o-rings and did you thoroughly lube the fuel rails and fuel injector o-rings with vaseline before installing the injectors?

It is unfortunately common for people to try to not spend the money on new o-rings for the fuel injectors and then have fuel leaks and have to redo the install. If the lower o-rings are leaking they leak straight into the engine and you never see the leak the car just runs bad. Installing a fuel pressure gauge in the supply line (the hose between the fuel fuel filter and the engine) is the best method to determine if you have fuel leaks. The fuel pressure should not leak down when the engine/ignition is turned off. Any mechanic will have a fuel pressure gauge set and some extra fuel hose so you can take it to a shop instead of buying your own gauge if you prefer.

Re: Wiring diagram for N62 MAF

Thanks for replying. As said earlier in the postings this car is Tom's old 5mt which had many mods. I don't know what the second owner took out of the but the the MAF was suppose to be upgraded, but it wasn't. So I don't know if the injectors have been upgraded or not. I know that the color of the injectors are red. Could that mean that been upgraded or are they the originals?

Re: Wiring diagram for N62 MAF

I need to know exactly which version you have in order to determine if your fuel injectors correctly match it. Please open your ecu and give me the serial number which will be printed on the ECUtune ROM chips.

Re: Wiring diagram for N62 MAF

Hi,

Sorry it took so long but I was finally able to take a look at my ECU to see what type of chip was installed. It is a stage 2 version 1.5. So what does this have to do with my MAF?

Re: Wiring diagram for N62 MAF

there's no such thing as a stage 2 version 1.5. Theres a Stage1v5. It does not use a z32 air flow meter.

What is the serial number printed on the labels?
