It was also marketed as a Dodge Daytona (& Charger too?)... the first Diamond Star Motor car before the eclipse/talon/laser generation

Theres a kid in my town with a really clean blue and grey starion with nice deep dish rims... for the record; the SVX is faster

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure the daytona/charger have nothing to do with the starion/conquest.

Update: The Daytona and Charger have nothing to do with the conquest/starion, as I suspected.

The Charger/Daytona is based on a k-car (dodge aries, etc), while the starion/conquest was based on the mitsubishi sapporo / galant platform. So basically, they share similar body styles, but that's about it.

Dayle, you need to do a WRX STi powered XT6. It's calling you. I always wanted a 1987 Brat powered by a WRX STi. Talk about sleeper.

That 302 powered DSM ought to be a BEAST! The car weighs what 22-2300 lbs?
Can you say "power oversteer!!"

Those were known for cracking heads, although the turbos arent' as bad as the NA 2.6 they put in the Chrysler minivans and some of the K cars, as well as the Mitsubishi Mighty Max and Dodge D50/Raider

And yeah the Daytona was a different car altogether, FWD with the Dodge 2.2 4 banger, although they did have a Turbo version...

A friend of mine shoehorned a 3.8 out of a minivan into a Daytona. That freakin thing will MOVE!!

You got taht for $500?? Jeesh man, you ripped that guy off! That things a beast.

HondaSucks - I think you mean the 2.5's. Though the notoriously unreliable ones are the 3.0V6's. I used to have a 93 Duster and was into the EEK scene for a while. Never liked the K's much... Though I do know a guy running 400WHP in a K car... talk about sleeper. He even has the intercooler hidden. And another friend of mine has a fully built 93 Duster which'll smoke a vette or just about anything else on the street (IN a straight line... )
