When I had a Reatta.....same thing, only differnce
was Ive never seen a Reatta in a movie !!
One thing I do remember, in the late 80s and early 90s, movie makers were Constantly useing Mustang GT ragtops
in all their movies, there must of been a dozen or more
within 1 yr of new films.
Certain movies and TV shows will have all the vehicles provided by one maker or another free of charge. It ends up being a two hour commercial for the car maker. Ford does this a lot as I have seen many shows with nothing but Fords in them. Not a bad marketing move but it's kind of lame appearing once you realise it is happening as you watch a show or movie.

Most of the sound in a movie (including silly things like footsteps, gunshots, engine sounds, etc) are added LATER, after the movie has already been cut together. Folks called "Foley Artists" add the sounds. Fight scenes are especially foley intensive. Y'know that big shot in the jaw? The sound is made, depending on how the artist views the impact, by punching a turkey out of the grocery store. Bodies falling, depending on surface and so forth, are sandbags dropped into boxes of sand. Those footsteps you hear, when someone is walking down a dark hallway, are being made on a slab of marble in the studio, with the shoes on the foley artist's HANDS, matching the steps of the actor. IT'S ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS!
yeah i hate the fake sound thats why i watch bruce lee movies. we still love you bruce even with the poor over dubing.

Dayle,
Im not 100% positive, as I haven't seen the movie in a long time (and have only seen it once), but I believe Sylvester Stallone drove one in "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot"
(with Estelle Getty as "mom")

Yep, I actually had a reatta and an allante....both hand
built and really nice cars. Mostly the last few yrs of each.
The first few yrs had their share of bugs...
But overall, both are cool cars in their own respect, and
unique.

A few weeks ago I saw Loaded Weapon 1 DVD in a bargain bin...dived on it, brought it home and switched in on - my wife put down her book to start looking at it only to see me fast forward, find THE SCENE, watch and drool for about 15mins then disappear to pore over SVX brochures...

I am a sad sad man....but in the company of like-minded souls here!!

Was the only reason I watched that show about the newspaper that told what was happening the next day

Did you happen to watch the rest of the movie?

I found it quite funny!

"The Scene" was a nice bonus!

..........pity it only lasted for a few seconds!

I have that movie on DVD - from what I remember, the only car that he drives is an old Ford Crown Victoria (at least that's what I think it is - we never had them in Australia!)

However - Stallone did drive an Allante in the movie "Tango and Cash"!

You can see it in the very first scene, when he is chasing a truck, and then pulls up in front of it!

IIRC the scene in "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot" was very similar to the one in Tango and Cash, (and it's entirely possible that Im mixing the two movies up) although again I haven't seen either movie in a looooong time
(and the car Im thinking of looked like the pic Dayle posted)
