tranny speed sensor#2

I just had a new tranny put into my 143k '92 SVX after a spree of awd burnouts in mud and ice via neutral drops (my bad). My speedo and odo don't work since I'm getting tranny error code 33 (speed sensor 2). I removed it (it's the one in the front right by the front diff. fluid dipstick) to find that the bearing inside seized and the shaft twisted a few times before shearing itself off. All in all, it's going to cost $230 for the new shaft and the new sensor. What I want to know is:
1. Could damage have been done to the inside of the sensor (and thus the bearing) by overtorqueing it?
2. Could an electrical short on sensor #1 have in any way caused the bearing to fail in sensor #2?
3. Could I be emailed at torg0d@wistful.net by anyone with a used speed sensor #2 who would be willing to send it to me at a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance

Thanks, that is alot cheaper.

I want some ammo to go back to the shop with, too. It'd be nice not to have to pay for this myself, having just paid my warranty deductible and then some.
