How much should a new starter cost me at the delaership (installed)

imho it should be free, but i dont think they will just give you one. profit and all.
my trusty parts list says it should be about 160 for the starter assembly. p#2300AA390R1 expect another couple hundred for labor. if i had to guess high, id say $400. low $300.

It should not be more than 45 mins of labor, you should try it your self its really easy. I wouldent pay more than 60 for labor. Only is a couple of nuts, and one bolt.

do it yourself labor is always going to be infinitely cheaper than having the dealer install anything.

I may end up with a spare used starter available after my 5spd conversion.
