XT6 trans swap ???s

I was at the junkyard yesterday and came across a XT6 with a 5 speed in it. I can get the thing for like $50 and with 170k on my auto am trying to figure out if I can use it.

1st The tranny is a 4wd while my car is FWD. I'm not planning on converting it to 4wd. I can just plug up the driveshaft area right?

2nd What else will I need other than the pedals and clutch cable/ power booster.

Ben,
You'll need the same stuff listed in my SVX swap write up, plus the console (at least the shifter surround and the diff lock button)

As for running it with out the rear driveshaft, you would have to lock the center diff (hence needing the Diff lock button), but I would go ahead and convert it to AWD as all the parts will bolt right onto you XT6....you know you'd rather have it AWD anyway , and since you'd have all the parts, why not?

Is the motor still in the car? if not you'll need to locate a flywheel too.

Everything is still in the car aside from the cv shafts I think. The interior is missing the center console though.
