drive someone else's car - for free!

Hi all,

Just wanted to share with you a website I found. They ship cars across the US and Canada. The cool part is that anyone can sign up to drive them. You pay for gas. Bad news is that it's a one way trip (unless you find another car that's going where you want to go). I'm sure there's also a time restriction or something like that to prevent you from going from Seattle to Detroit via Florida.

Disclaimer: I don't work for the company. Know anybody who works for the company or even anybody who has done any business with them. It just seems like a cool thing to do.

Matt

When I graduated from college, I headed out to the west coast with my bicycle and a couple friends and biked home (2 months, 3700 miles). We took an Auto-Driveaway Buick (had 30 miles on it when we picked it up) from Baltimore to Omaha, and then swapped it for a Jeep Cherokee that we drove to Oregon via Colorado and Utah. They were pretty flexible with the mileage and the time, and all we had to pay for was gas. It is a great way to get one-way cheaply.
