front seat removal and SRS?

Chilton's manual says I should disable the SRS system before removing the front seats, but I see no sensors or electrical wiring between the seats and the SRS system, so I'm wondering if its really necessary. Can anyone let me know if the SRS system really needs to be disabled?

Thanks,

I have taken the seats out of two SVX's without incident so I believe that disabling the SRS system is definitely unecessary.

Same here - 2 different 92's I have removed front seats without problem - though I may have just been lucky.

I also removed my seats (a few times) on my 94.... No SRS wires attached to the seat. Just make sure you disconnect the wire for the motors AND the heated seat (if equipped).

Oh, one more thing, the drivers seat is PRETTY HEAVY....!

Good luck!
