Alternative Sway Bar Link ???

Has anyone found an alternative to #13 in the attached diagram?

Mine are now shot, and I would like to replace with somthing regreasable.
I would go to the OEM, but if there is a better solution I could sure use it.

Yes, we did go over this a while ago, and there was some effort being put to a solution, but then it all went quiet.
I have tried the 2002 Cougar link, but the ends are opposed, and the bar actually hits the brake line hanger, half way up the Strut Tower.

Thanks.

Todd (wawazat?) found a beefier piece that works. Do a search on all his posts.

ignore my PM Ed. Brain fart...

I did find a beefier upgrade from a company called PowerGrid. I am very pleased with their product and am setting up to become a distributor. These are pricey (~$120 per pair, I've only done the front so far) but I'm happy with the adjustability (able to pre-load the bar), strength, and apparent longevity compared to the stock pieces. I do have a pic in my locker which should be in the '95L folder showing the coilovers though not the endlinks in particular.

I'm meeting with the owner this week and will get some more pics if you are interested.

Todd

Todd,
Damn, but you do nice work. That coilover set up is a piece of art!
Drop me a PM as soon as you've got the specifics worked out regarding being a distributor!

Thanks Ben and Bill. The strut housing is from my 165k 1992. I cut off the spring perch, ground the surface smooth, snadblasted the rust off, welded the ring on (from GC), powdercoated them anthracite metallic and then loaded the...what does Ben call them ...Koni insert and mounted the GC coil-over assembly.

Bill-I'll let you know what the costs are when I'm done. No mark-up as I don't think I'll geta ton of takers here. The other vehicles I'm offering them too should drive down the price for you.

Todd
