My car likes to shift PtII

Yesterday morning I ended up taking my SVX into the Subaru dealer to have it looked at!! The car was still shifting hard and jumping from gear to gear.
So here is what the dealer told me.. The Speed Sensors are bad! And the transmission is taking a long time to shift into D and R. And it also is not Holding a gear (hence) the jumping from gear to gear.
The verdict: $4032.00 + Shipping and $702.50 wire harness. This wasn't including the cost of them working on the car!
I know what ever one is thinking you can find some place that's cheaper! True! I called two different places here in Colorado and the best price I could find was $3980.00 for all the work that needs to be done to the car. But I do not have the money to replace the transmission.
SO after 6 wonderful weeks of being the owner of a 1992 SVX I went and traded the car in last night for a NEW car. And the best part of it all is they never drove the SVX to make sure if anything was wrong with the car. So as I was driving away in my NEW car the sales guy was trying to move the car but it just wouldn't move ( I think there maybe something wrong with the transmission).........

i am deeply sorry that this car did not work out for you, but i am happy that i made a good friend out of this experience. when you get the bad taste out of your mouth from this car, i hope you let me help you find the right svx when the time is right.

Congratulations on your new car, sucks the SVX didn't work out though. What kind of car did you drive off in?

Which dealership is your SVX at? I may just have to try and haggle with them
