Re/Re Power Antenna?
An Auto Car Wash snapped off my power antenna (in the cold weather, the antenna did not go all the way down). I am searching for a good used replacement... but once I get one, I was wondering if anyone has replaced their antenna's before, or is there a good written procedure somewhere on the web?
Let me know, Thanks, |

info
are you going to buy a new mass from the dealer and install it?
its cheaper then buying a new complete unit. I just replaced the mass on my car the other day, wasnt too bad. Remove the antenna, basically dissasemble the unit (remove the stem, take off the transparent cover, open up the case) Remove the old mass, slide in the new mass, hook the ball on end of the mass back onto the clip, press cover back on and re-assemble and thats about it. Youll have to plug into the harness inside the trunk and turn the car on and off for the mass to retract back into the unit before you try to install the whole unit, but thats about it. Im not getting power to my antenna on one of my cars and mine wont retract, anyone have any ideas ? (stock radio)

Here is a link to a How-To for the antenna. Look at the top of the page and select How to. Then look on the left side of the page and click on antenna.
