Silicone Spray
Hey all... I'm gonna be doing some minor maintainence also involving the sunroof and I've come to realize silicone spray is the answer to many of the problems.
 .But the question is, Would silicone based lubricant be next to the WD40? Is it white and watery or is it thick. Is there any brand I should look for? Tips and suggestions are appreciated!

Just ask for it in an automotive store. It is very light and clear. When the liquid evaporates, there is a light coating of silicone where you sprayed it. It is great for the sunroof gaskets and the track. Good luck.

I have been trying to buy the 3M silicone product without any petroleum products but I haven't found where to buy it yet. Seems to be only available thru industrial suppliers.

I ended up buying the Gunk brand, makers of the liquid wrench.
I tried using it to see if it will help with my sunroof but hasnt worked yet. I sprayed the tracks and then wiped them to clean fof all the dirt and i reapplied on the rollers again and went back and forth while wiping it up again to get all the sand out. I also adjusted the nut in the sunroof clutch but nothing yet. I also applied it to the rubber. Any suggestions?

I have used silicone grease on the tracks after cleaning them as you say with Q-tips. What does your sun roof do?
