Angry air intake silencer resonator

I have a 96lsi and decided to remove it. What a pain in the ass, 1hr to remove it. It Has that cool throaty sound but now when I punch it from a dead stop, the car lags for like 1 second and then it goes. I know its slower now do I have to reset the ecu? Is there a fix? any help would be appreciated. Also does anyone make a intake kit? that makes horsepower

Mine did not lag when I took it off. Yes there are kits, filter kits and more homemade stuff. The removal does little other than make noise. Try a search?

The lag should go away after the CPU learns the new settings, should go away before you run a tank out.
