Idler pulley installation

Has anyone who has put in this pulley remember if they're was some play in it after bolting it down before tightening the belt. It wobbles just a bit when it turns. I'm wondering if I put everything back together right. I haven't tightened the belt down yet so maybe it doesn't matter. It spins well with the new pulley. I'll watch it run to see if it looks right or makes noise.

Re: Idler pulley installation

Yes, I noticed the same thing. I was told by a friend who is a "bearing engineer" that it's normal for the type of bearing used (class C single ball bearing, if I recall correctly). /T

Re: Idler pulley installation

I replaced mine recently, I do not recall any wobbling. Make sure it is sitting properly in the slotted track.
