Post-strut mount change noise

So I put my new strut mounts in the other day with the help of some friends, and the car rides RIDICULOUSLY better. My mounts were completely rusted away. The only thing holding them together was gravity. The only thing now is that while driving over small repeated bumps or abrupt bumps (like a driveway), the back suspension makes a rattle. I know my struts are shot and I don't have the bank to replace them right now, but it didn't make this nose when the bad mounts were in. I do recall not tightening the strut bolt while the car was on the ground, but just when we had the strut out. We used an impact wrench, and it was while the spring was compressed. Should I try and tighten that bolt down a little further? I didn't check to see if it's loose, but It's the only thing I can think of that would be causing that noise, since all we replaced were the mounts. I'm just paranoid that my struts are going to fall out for no reason when I'm driving one of these days.
