Door Sill Clips

Any way to "pop" these out without destroying them? ( I didn't do any "favors" to the one i did pop out.)

Re: Door Sill Clips

They usually break when you take the sills off. Many members put some velcro on the sill in a few places and it usually holds it on just fine. Much cheaper than buying new ones.

Re: Door Sill Clips

I can fix the sill with a plastic welder, but i have to get the white clips out of the sill itself.

Re: Door Sill Clips

I drilled small holes through the sill where the clips broke and used small pan head screws to fasten.

Re: Door Sill Clips

+1 for what Dannmarr said. There's also enough material in the sill covers to countersink the plastic a little and use countersunk grabber screws. Drill the holes where the clips would be and then screw them into the plastic below rather than drilling into the metal of your sill.

Re: Door Sill Clips

I just used 8 tiny points of velcro, 4 on the original mounting points (the plastic is still in) and four on the textile where the sill just covers.

It's really stuck unless I want to pull it off.

The cost of the velcro was a couple of dollars and I have most of it left.

Gave me an excuse to wash there, too
