Re: Cooper tires
If I may interlude, I have 10+ years of tire expeerieince, and I have been in the same boat as you even with the many choices I have of tires at cost.
The coopest zeon rs3 is a good tire, and when they came out, I wanted a set (we are a cooper dealer) bvut they didn't make them in the size I needed, so I had to pass. Literally days later, I saw that BFG announced an update to the G Force sport comp tire (of which I'd had very good luck with on another car) and they came out with the G Force Sport comp 2. Same treead deisgn as before, but a better treadwear rating AND a higher traction rating. Are they better than the old gforces I had? Yes Do I have them on my svx currently? Yes Are they affordable? YES! Here's my exact tire on tirerack. Would I recommend them to others? You bet I would It is by no means an out and out race tire, but for people like me who want good grip on a twisty road, but good treadlife for the heavy svx, this tire really hit the nail on the head. I'd recommend them to anyone.
