Re: Jdm engine

Where you getting it from, Ebay? I was told not to trust those sellers who all claim the same mileage. How could there be thousands of engines for sale with all the same mileage

Re: Jdm engine

There was a posting on jdm engines, some are lowish mileage while not likely exactly as claimed still low.

I dont remember it completely but there may be a requirement for higher mileage engines that most dont want to do so they get rid of the car.

Significant Technical Input
Re: Jdm engine

I bought one of those jdm engines. I actually bought the engine and transmission. I rebuilt my transmission and tore my engine down to the short block and re-assembled with a new oe gasket and seal set. I posted the information on the condition of what I got in a thread here: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=60414

The short of it is:
1)it did look to be a low miles engine
2)they use one of those uber expensive in car fuel injector cleaning systems to clean the fuel system before shipping so you get clean injectors
3)jdm engines don't have egr so you will need a jdm ecu which doesn't come with the engine or you will have to install the intake and exhaust manifold from your us engine onto it
