Binding again – sung to the tune of “Drinking Again”

Yes… Replaced Duty Solenoid C. Car worked great for a day then it started binding and I got the blinking Power light at startup again. Checked the code and it was “24”.

Is my TCU bad? Is there something else that could be affecting it? I read in some older posts about the “wire” that connects the TCU to the solenoid.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

One day isn't bad.
It looks like there is a wiring problem, between the TCU and the solenoid. Check all the plugs on the way down. The code looks at shorting or open circuits, as the solenoid is new, it should be ok, unless its plug in the box is jammed or pulled open.

Harvey.

Re: Binding again – sung to the tune of “Drinking Again”

I've been driving it a while after I checked the wiring. It works part of the time. Its almost as if it has to "warm up".

Last week it worked all day but then the next it was back to binding. I can't figure out a pattern.

Re: Binding again – sung to the tune of “Drinking Again”

I would say the wiring is suspect, as Harvey suggested. In my experience most intermittent faults are electrical.
