lightweight pulley is smaller than the stock one ?

the stock one is 13cm across the middle and the light weight one is 11cm
it should still work tho ? i think there is still enough of tensioner left to get it to tighten up on the belts

Re: lightweight pulley is smaller than the stock one ?

Lightweight pulleys come in 2 varieties, standard size and underdrive. The underdrive pulleys are smaller, which effectively reduces the drag of your engine accessories on the engine. Did you buy yours used? Underdrive pulleys typically come in a kit with a shorter belt designed to work correctly with the smaller pulley size.

Re: lightweight pulley is smaller than the stock one ?

It will be fine as long as the everything else is correct and aligns ok without rubbing on the timing cover. The difference in diameter is not that much where it will affect the operation of your alternator or power steering. The tensioner has a long adjustment.

Smaller pulleys are under-drive by definition. Had one and would never recommend putting one on the car... But that is just me. I park a lot on the freeway!
