Re: HID kits on the cheap.

here's one I took tonight. I need to do some more adjustments to get them dialed in just right. The reason the right light looks brighter is because I believe my drivers headlamp assembly is a bit off. Part of the light shoots onto the plastic just below the projector lens. It happened with the halogen too, so I don't blame it on the HID's.

Re: HID kits on the cheap.

Here are mine as well. I also need a bit more fine tuning but it is pretty close to on. I am not a night shot pro so excuse the camera work

I got the DDM Tuning (that this thread is about) 4500K 35W ones. The pic came from my phones camera so it's not that great.

Re: HID kits on the cheap.

I just received my 35 watt 4500K set, I'll be putting it in sometime next week. It looks just as advertised, nice quality materials and a good instruction sheet. I will post pictures as soon as I can get to aiming them.

Re: HID kits on the cheap.

I have noticed that all of the lights (the beam) have that slight angle to them (both the left and right sides) when projected onto a wall. I don't really know why, but all I have seen are the same. The light is just a tad bit higher on the left side of the pattern than the right.

That is just one of the standard beam spreads for headlights. IIRC we have the ECE beam spread on the SVX. The idea is to have the light shine a bit lower at oncoming traffic while shining higher on the shoulder of the road.

Re: HID kits on the cheap.

Thanks for that. If you look at post 48, you will see we have the opposite pattern from the one you show above.

No, we have the standard "reverse Z" pattern. What I think you're noticing in my picture is the overlap area of the two reverse Z patterns. You can tell by looking at the far left where the pattern is lower, then raises up to the right, then levels off. Hidden in the leveled off area is the passenger side light doing the exact same thing.
