Re: my kind of porsche
I remember reading all through the posts of his build process on the Porsche forums. A lot of the purists there hated the fact he was going for a subie engine. But when you hear that thing drive, it's truly awesome. And a no-brainer as far as engine swaps go.
Very cool car, just too bad to see him selling it already.

Re: my kind of porsche
We now know that an EG33 can be made to fit a Porsche.
But can it work the other way around? Will the Porsche 3.6L H6 (turbo?) fit in an SVX? That would be a cool project, but I suspect rather costly.

ive seen pics of an wrx sti coupe with twin turb porsche engine in it. got told it was fitted with 6spd and would light up all 4 wheels. so i guess you could fit one in to an svx. be very expensive tho...

Re: my kind of porsche
getting yourself the drivetrain for the TT 3.6 Porsche runs about $18,000 for a setup pulled from a wrecked one. there is a company in Cali that specializes as a Porsche wrecking yard, thats where I found that info. I figure probably be about $25,000 total to do the conversion.

Re: my kind of porsche
$25k? I'd get a bored STi mill, modded and tuned first. There's plenty of power to be found in that, and it'd bolt up nicely... give or take.
Bumper paint ftw!!!
