SVX in crash.... is it worth to repair

I got rear ended pulling out of my driveway by a 2ton Chevy truck.
It looks like its only body dmg (trunk lid is totaly destroyed)

But, since there are always people parting out cars, would it be worth it
getting peice by peice to repair her?

any/all ideas needed, Im still driving her, as I have no other way to work, and she still feels fine, cept that fact that sence my trunk lid wont latch i hear it every bump i hit.

Make the chevy's insurance pay for it to be repaired or buy you out.

That's some major damage to the unibody judging by the side panels. I vote get it fixed, but i imagine a repair like this will be costly

One problem, I was the one cited for not giving the right away as I was backing out of my driveway, nevermind the fact that I never saw her, and from that hit she defantly wasn't in the 30mph speed limit

It's definatly fixable just get a new trunk lid, lights, and by the looks of things you will probably need 2 quarter panels which are about $350 a side, bumper, bumper rienforcement. Do your door gaps look ok on both sides.

Doors still open/close without any extra force, it seems everything from the doors up, body wise, wasn't affected at all

I had similar damage to an Acura I owned. A good local shop stretched and coxed the quarter panel back into shape. The rest of the parts are available here on the forum. I hope you will go for it. Also, can you go for a partial paint or will you need to spray the whole car?

Then that's GREAT new for you then because you will just need to fix the things I mentioned by looking at the pic and you will be good as new.

Any rough idea of cost to do the body work, Minus the paint, and parts I get here on the forums, but just the "raw" body work

Well it's hard to give you a "rough" estimate without the car being in front of me but i would say around $800 for just to replace that quarter panel with a new one and depending on how bad the other side is if even damaged then about $1200.

could'nt come at a worse time... just refinanced the home to pay off bills and pay for a 4K Surgery

Another good thing, I decided to take her up to speed today, up to speed meaning driving her like I normaly do, and I didnt notice any stability differences... yet.... I need to take her around some corners and see how she feels, but so far, so good, still alittle worried that the rear of my trunk is going to fly off (cause I can move it with my hand without effort) so im not going full out.

as much as it hurts to see her everytime I look at her, I still have to drive her everyday as its my only way to work. so shes not dead yet, just a really really bruised rear end LOL
