Question Tranny Fluid Level

Drained the fluid from the plug on the bottom. Got about 6 quarts out.
I've put 4 quarts back in and the stick already says it's full if it was hot.

Has the fluid just not cycled through?

Should I run her for a minute or so then check the level?

Yeap, run the car and even take it for a spin around the block.

Then return to level surface and check the stick again, add/remove fluid as necessary.

dont drive it around the block thats asking for trouble.... just make sure the car is on a level surface and cycle the shifter through all the gears a cuple of times... and wait a few min because fulid left on the tube from the fill is prob. giving you a false reading

Thanks

Ran it a few seconds and ended up having to put in about 3/4 of a quart.
