I took some photography classes in school, and I've been interested in it since. I'm definitely no pro, but I do have a few I'm quite proud of.

I tend to take a ridiculous number of pictures no matter where we go. We have 3GB of storage for our camera - enough for about 1200 pictures - and I filled it in Alaska last year.

Damn even I don't have 3 gigs of pictures taken in Alaska.

Could be because they max around 600k (and I reduce them), but still.

nice pic! Watch it with the girlfriend, I met my wife of 19+ year through photography (she's got her own photography business and I've done my own technical photography for years - comes in handy during engineering design efforts )
The 6006 is a nice camera -- it's one of the bodies we have (along with various FM, FE, etc. Nikon bodies and lenses). We just added a D70 to the mix, so digital is taking over.

Nice Photo Nick!

May I briefly hijack the thread with a question for you camera gurus? I have a Minolta 7000 35mm SLR. But I want a digitial camera. Can I get a digital body that is compatible with my Minolta 7000 lenses?
