CV joint replaced. Scraping noise now?

I just replaced my CV joint this evening. (first timer, no assistance...outside...in the mud...YAY!)

I had alot of trouble getting it onto the transmission (I had it on upside down...first timer...no assistance...outside... in the mud...gimmie a break).

While I was underneith, attempting to some how get the pin to go thru while the joint was upside down, I was pushing on the hub quite a bit with my feet (making it easier to move the axle around). After reassembling, I notice a scraping noice (almost like warped brakes, scrape scrape scrape scrape, consistant w/ my wheel revolutions). when going on tight left turns (I replaced passenger axle). I dont seem to have a brake shutter when stopping though.

I am thinking I bent something on the hub when I was pushing it around w/ my feet. any thoughts on this?

James

sounds like it may just be the break disk gaurd on the inside of the disk, all it is is a thin 'tinny' shield, you may have bent it onto the disk, you should be able to bend it back with ur hands

As do I. Same thing happened with my brake shield when I put the tranny back in.
