squeaking coming from suspension

the other day I was driving in the city and i could hear a squeaking coming from my car when i went over bumps (not big bumps but bumps that make your car slowly move up and then down again). I dont think its effecting my car in any way, but its annoying and I am worried what it could be, anyone with ideas or need more of an explanation? Please help.

Mite be one of the rear later links. My car has done this for over a year. So I removed the later links and lubed them up and reinstalled them and I've had no more squeaking.

A good way to see if i't suspension or not is to park the car and walk from corner to corner, rocking/pushing down on the car.

Once you have it isolated to a corner, get the car up on ramps and have someone rock the car while you're under it.

I have been hearing a squeaking recently that sounded like my front left strut, but it was actually my steering wheel/column upon inspection.

This is really really wierd. I thought it was suspension, and did the test by going around to the different sides and bouncing the car, but didnt hear anything and thought maybe the problem was fixed. The other day, the squeaking came back while driving and noticed later it wasnt the suspension again but it was coming from the engine bay. I think now it may be a pulley bearing that is squeaking. When I am in the car tho, I can hear it loud and clear. THIS IS REALLY BOTHERING ME. I have no idea where to go from here. Any help?

Put weight on the steering wheel. Check to see how badly your column is rusting.

Should be visible. When I went under to mess with my ecu I took a flashlight and looked around, and that metal bar that goes from the steering wheel to the firewall is pretty much corroded with rust.
The part where mine squeaks though is right under the dash, so it sounds like the front left strut, because it only squeaks when I hit bumps.
I just shook the wheel one day and realized what it was.

Your experience may vary.
