Re: Ceika Coilovers for the SVX

What's the difference between these and stock setup?

Re: Ceika Coilovers for the SVX

Just got another reply from Ceika about shipping. He told me it's between 4-5 business days to arrive here in the states. It looks like we have a definite option at this point!

Let's keep this thread going since it has an option that's affordable for us daily drivers.

Re: Ceika Coilovers for the SVX

I want to know more about the durability of these coilovers.
I almost bought a set of Megan Racing Coilovers for an STI, but I didn't because all the reviews I read said they had to be rebuilt/replaced within 1-2 years. I assume Koni is the same, or maybe longer.
Hopefully these coilovers will last a few years and there will be a feasible option when they eventually need rebuilding/replacement.

I can tell you almost one year and they are still in great shape, does that mean they will last, I couldn't tell you.
I am fairly sure though that if the shock part does wear out you could get any threaded strut with the correct dimensions and shock force.

Re: Ceika Coilovers for the SVX

It almost doesn't matter at this point. Everyone who spends Subaru's outrageous prices on OEM equipment will have it fail on them prematurely. This seems, for the price, our best option out there. If all goes well, I"m buying a set and installing them as soon as summer gets here. I plan on driving across the entire country at the end of the summer, so that should be the ultimate test. Maybe they'll do specials on a group buy?

Re: Ceika Coilovers for the SVX

Their response on a group buy and replacement parts:

Hello Dan,

Yes we will do a good discount if there is a 20 set group buy.

We also carry all the replacement parts at a very good price. Including rebuilding kits and seal kits as well as replacement shocks inserts if you prefer to swap them quickly.

We can also develop big brake kits for the SVX if you don't have any direct bolt in upgrades already.

Best Regards,

Cedric Milharo - Director
CEIKA Limited

More information is in the General SVX forum under: Ceika Coilovers summary

Re: Ceika Coilovers for the SVX

happened to be going back over this and thought I would respond back to this.

over 2 years now and they are still extremely great handling, I have put the Sti 6 speed in since and it can take curves/turns with extreme gusto and feels solid never get the feeling its worn or trying to go other then where its pointed.
