ABS Light on after suspension change

A friend helped me put in my new strut mounts tonight. It was a total success, but when I took it for a test drive, the ABS light was on. It didn't come on at idle, but after a few feet down the road it came on and stayed on. Tomorrow I'm going to check to see if I knocked a sensor off or broke one. Anything else I could have done? And if I did snap one, should I just buy a used one from somebody?

Check your connections, and check the codes, the blinking check light is under the seat (passenger on my RHD car)

Re: ABS Light on after suspension change

I had exactly same problem after I change new suspension. Check that blinking light under the seat and you will see which sensor is failed. After that put a LOT of wd-40 or something similar penetrating oil on the failed sensor and let it be like that over the night. Before you start taking it off add oil again. Then take it off slowly with some pliers, and remember to use lot of oil.

That is how I get mine off without breaking it. It took time but it is working now after some cleaning.

Re: ABS Light on after suspension change

Well good news! I had forgot, but while I was taking the interior out I unplugged the driver side sensor under the back seat thinking it was one of the connections attached to the "door" panel. Plugged it back in, light went off.
