cant get trunk open... dont have key

I got a parts car that I am trying to get the trunk open on. I don't have keys and it wont open with the lever on the floor.

Anyone know how to get it open short of a sledge hammer?
any help would be appreciated

Pull the rear seats down and crawl into the trunk to see if the "Cancel" lever is switched. Flip it the other way and try the release lever again.

Make sure the lever is all the way down, as in under the diagonal popper.

If I don't move the diagonal slab every time I open the trunk, my cable wont open it and I have to crawl in.

No need to be a dingle-berry, I wasn't sure if I could get in there to access the switch without taking something apart. Didn't think subaru would make it that easy. (not many things about this car so far have been simple and easy, but they have been learning experiences)

Re: cant get trunk open... dont have key

There is a lock on the seat fold down switch as well so if that is locked getting in the trunk could be difficult
