Question Air conditioning direction of flow question

Putting back together my daughters 92 ac system, I installed a new aftermarket receiver dryer from Advance auto. The in and out are marked. The unit can only install one way...the in and out look reversed to the way I expected the refrigerant direction to flow. I looked through the factory ac section of the service manual, but didn't find the answer...I thought it flowed in the direction from the compressor thorough the condensor to the drier to the evaporator...
Should the drier "out" be the connection from the condenser?

Re: Air conditioning direction of flow question

if i get what you are saying right then you are correct. the discharge (high side) line from the compressor goes to the condensor, then to the drier. the drier outlet should be going towards the evaporator. if that is not the way it installs then they may have sold you an accumulator or generic part.
