Non-SVX, Car runs but random stalls wont restart right

I am going to attempt to explain this problem I am having with a 96 mustang.

Issue:
The car will die randomly but will start back up. Upon starting back up it will die again after bogging down. If the car is left sitting alone for about 30 mins it will start back up and run but the moment you attempt to place it in 1st gear and let off the clutch it dies. And then promptly repeats the process of not running. The CEL is on for Left and right bank O2 sensors but has been replaced and cleared. Sometimes the car will run for weeks without this but it has happened 2-3x in the past two days leaving it stranded. I have absolutely no idea what it could be and am asking for any advice. Someone suggested the catalytic converters but am not sold on that idea yet. Any input is appreciated.

Background on the car:
* V6 3.8 with 5 speed manual
* Head gaskets were done about 6 months ago.
* Thermostat was replaced about 2 months ago.
* O2 sensors were replaced but CEL remains on.
* It seems to happen on hot days but this could be unrelated

inb4itsaford, inb4fixorreapirdaily, inb4foundonroaddead and I personally want to drive it off a cliff but Its my mothers car not mine so

Re: Non-SVX, Car runs but random stalls wont restart right

I would say test the fuel pressure while its going, see what your reading is vs. spec. A very lean engine can idle but cannot produce enough torque to move the wheels, ala stalling out in gear. The seeming to do it while its hot thing also points to the fuel pump, they tend to fail when they get too hot, and slowly failing ones also act worse when they warm up. What does the exhaust smell like when it runs and bogs?
