Has anyone ever thought about this.

This is my shade tree mechanic talking here. has anyone ever thought of taking out the powersteering cooler and flush it out. and hook the tranny lines to it and put a smaller powersteering cooler on the bottom? just an idea. prolly not gna work but i thought i'd say it

Not to rain on your parade, but both the factory ATF cooler and the factory PS cooler are really not worth keeping.
I regularly disconnect the radiator "cooler" and replace it with, hell, just about ANYTHING would be better!
The PS "cooler" is just a bent tube stuck between the rad and the AC condencer!
New trans coolers start at about $30.00.
Go wild!
