Lightbulb Wishful thinking

Okay so I'm sure everyone has been thinking it but no one has said it yet, so I'm gonna. Wouldn't it be cool if the new toyaru came in a fully loaded form with the name Alcyone? I mean, they will never make another SVX, but what if they at least brought back the Alcyone name, maybe in a form of an option package? I think that's a do-able nod to both the SVX and the XT. I mean, they already own the name, why not use it? But then again, an Alcyone without a 6 cylinder is kinda not the same...

Re: Wishful thinking

This, to me, would be another sign that the apocalypse is just around the corner.

Re: Wishful thinking

This, from a company that decided to reuse the XT brand less than 20 years later to signify the turbo lineup. At the time of release I was still driving my "real" XT, and from that point on I was unable to parts for my car without getting 100 hits for new cars.

If they ever do reuse the Alcyone name, don't be surprised if it's on a minivan, or any of the other bloated boxes that they're shilling out these days. Besides, from what I've heard the new Toyobaru is rear wheel drive, and slated to be released by Toyota only.

Re: Wishful thinking

Why are you sure they will not release a new Alcyone?
