window going down sluggishly

Hi,
Is my window motor going bad? My passenger window just this week started hesitating before going down and now hesitates intermittently going down or up. I hit the switch and sometimes have to hit it more than once to get the window to repond and when the window does go down, it doesnt have much gusto. I am assuming this is a signal the motor is going but am hoping against hope it could be something simpler and cheaper. any ideas please let me know. Am starting to get afraid to roll the window down in case it doesnt come back up.

There is a small outside chance it is not the moter, but wouldn't give it much chance.

I would like to modify my reply to... unless there is a lose electrical connection at the motor, there is no chance that it is other than the motor.

ok, thanks. It almost feels like the button on the drivers door that controls the window is a bit sticky. maybe it is a connection.

Try it with the window switch on one side, then the switch on the other side.

Same result, not a switch problem.
Different results, could or could not be a switch problem!

Then go from there!
