CV jount boots

Anyone know if there are replacement boots only for the front outside CV joint?
Mine is not torn but keeps slipping off the outside edge. Would rather not have to replace the axle. Thanks, Fred

Here's a couple to Kits to choose from. If the boot has slipped off it would be a good idea to replace it and clean the joint as dirt has probably entered it.

There are kits available form the dealer that include the boot, bands, and proper grease. They should be in stock at any dealer.

I'd suggest buying some extra grease from the dealer. Their kit does include more grease then the aftermarket and as Green said, it is the proper grease. I recall the dealer kit being a few bucks more, but you also get more grease.

One of the few things I'd buy from the dealer. Good Luck!

just remember if your going for the outer boot you still have to remove the axle and the inner boot and tri pot bearing assembly to get at the outer boot... and sence you are removing the axle it might be easier to replace the axle (they are supprisingly cheep at NAPA) like about 80 bucks or so... and a boot kit costs about 30 each... so do the math is it really worth saving 20 bucks?...

WARNING DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THOSE UNIVERSAL RE BOOTING KITS THEY ARE CRAP AND A TEMPORARY SOLUTION TO A MORE PERMANENT PROBLEM!....

sorry i just had to get that off my chest

I am about to replace front axles. Do I have to get the hub nuts and spring pins from a Subaru dealer? I'm guessing the reman axles do not include these parts. I am getting A1 Cardone axles, $58 each from Rockauto.
All that I have read indicate hub nuts and pins can not be reused.
TIA...
