Grille Clip

How do you replace a broken clip behind the grille? I got a new clip and I don't know how to replace it. Thanks

It's easiest if you remove the grille. Look at the new clip and how it holds itself in place. Use that info to help you remove the grille without breaking the other clip.

The first time I removed my grille I broke a clip. Just take your time and you should be alright.

So did I! I guess it wasn't designed to be serviced - only to be installed once. Now the one that's broken tends to let the grill get a bit loose on that side so I ordered a couple of new ones from Subaruparts.com (along with a lot of other stuff to absorb the handling fee).

Nick,

After responding to that PM you sent me, I went outside and took a look at my grill. Like Earthworm mentioned, the clip kinda holds itself in place between the back of the grill and a plastic piece attached to the front of the car. You'll need to use something like a tweezers to depress the little tension pieces that lock the clip in place. Once you're able to remove the old clip, putting in the new one should be much easier...
