Exclamation Want to wait to change bearings???

So people that want to wait to change your bearings after they start making noise, look what will happen. The domino effect. The wheel bearings went bad, which in turn by bouncing back and forth destroyed the brake caliper which warped the rotor, which in turn wore out the cv joint, which ruined the diff.

First axle nut destroyed ( had to drive the car forward with the breaker bar on the ground to loosen it)

rear hub bolts had to be cut off because of rust
then the lateral link bolts cut off because bolts rusted into bushing sleeves.
So in part, the wheels bearing going out lead me to replace

strut
hub
rotor
caliper
axle
lateral links
and maybe the diff

and this is only one side

I guess you are saying that they should be fixed before they become a REAL PROBLEM!

I think this would be an extreme case. I'm sure many members have gone further than they should have on bad bearings without running into this much problems.

It's still a good warning to keep up with the repairs on your car because if neglected they will add up very quickly.

Not really, any east coast car that has any rust on it will encounter the same thing
