found an ebay seller that has svx cv shafts listed here in aust
sent them a question

"just curious are these front or rear svx cv shafts ?
and how many of them do you have in stock ?"

this is their reply
"This shaft is for left and right side for a subaru SVX, currently do not have in stock though and would require ordering in"

gee thanks captain obvious ...
not the question i asked though

so i sent back

yeah i gathered that it was for the left and right side ,
but i want to know is it for the FRONT or the REAR ???
the svx is awd so has 2 front ones and 2 rear ones"
