New Project

My dad and I are thinking about doing a complete restoration of a '72-'74 BMW 2002. I am really excited about this. Neither of us have ever done this before but are both pretty capable. I hope to keep the exterior stock and mod it with things from the era. I hope to make this a 160 hp beast!

Any thoughts/opinions or anyone with '02 knowledge?

I would like to build a motor with the E12 head, 9.5:1 Mahle pistons, Dual sidedraft DCOE 40 webers (drool), Schrick 292 cams and electrical upgrades.

I am getting way far ahead of myself, we haven't even started yet! But hey, I can't help it!
