Radio and CD question
I was told by another member that the Baja 6 disc CD changer and radio with weatherband fit the svx, can anyone confirm and that that front wood grain panel can still be opened and closed properly. Also what if any mods need to be done to the cage. Do I need another harness that can just plug in, and where would I get one. without cutting or splicing any wires. I am only considering this if its a simple mod without any detailed modifications

Re: Radio and CD question
You will need an adapter (made by a member on here) which makes the wiring "Plug & Play" I've installed a newer Subaru deck in them before, and everything fit fine, but I've not installed that specific deck, but pretty sure it'll be fine.

Re: Radio and CD question
Can anyone recommend the best all around subaru stock 6 disc CD changer with weatherband that will be a plug n play for our svx. I know I will have to find a different harness a member here named subarudc i believe.

Re: Radio and CD question
you can probably get the harness adapter from http://ae64.com
That's where mine came from and works fine. |

Re: Radio and CD question
I think that is the model than Ben put in his SVX? Everything fits great. Worst case scenario is that you can keep the wood grain door, but need to cut a clearance hole in the black panel on the inside of the door, or just go without the inner black door panel.
If you get the adapter from SVXdc, the wiring is plug and play.
