JDM engine

My 1994 SVX "supposedly " has a JDM sourced motor . Previous owner was so clueless about the car , I question this . Is there any difference in US and JDM motors ? Any way to tell from engine # ?

Re: JDM engine

The JDM most likely will not have any EGR and plumbing. If it was a complete engine with the plastic engine covers, those are different also.
I have a spare JDM engine and I don't think there are any other differences, at least that I've noticed.
