no the sealent is for in the fender to connect the stock piece of resinator going thru the hole the the new tube with intake head on it. i used sealent to hold the two pieces together. do to the fact the stock piece is to hard to use a hoes clamp on. nothing to do issolation but it is far enough away from bay heat is not an issue.
