I am still crying after watching this Video

Hey all SVX lovers,

Just found this video on youtube.

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=0Bh9Fex7Ibo

I was really enjoying it until the end.....I am really disturbed by it in fact.

Re: I am still crying after watching this Video

The car they thrashed at the end wasn't the SVX that was featured in most of the movie. Heck, I'm not even sure if it was an SVX at all. It looked to me like some other green car; maybe a model.

You can tell because the rims don't match.

Isnt this the movie that one of our members had a part in making? The guy that made the Homeschool racer?

Statistics page for the show. I think I would have called it Dork, and Dorkerer instead. Anyone who glamorizes this kind of carnage needs to wake up and think about the people around them. This is the kind of Crap TV that gives people ideas about how to one up each other, and go out taping how much damage THEY can do.

I remember the days of films like "Hooper", and Tv shows like "Chips" also, but I aslo grew out of them years ago. Sadly, the days of "shock tv" are here, and it might actually be a while before people get all that out of their systems.

Attached is a frame that might ease the pain somewhat.

Its the way people are.
Its wwhy many people watch races... they hope to see the wrecks.
Its why people go see car movies... to see the carnage.
It wont be changing in our lifetimes... its still growing.

As I recall he volunteered his car to be in it as a body double for the one that got wrecked.

Nope. This is from a German TV show, like someone said their version of Miami Vice or CHiPs, and at least a couple years old as we've seen screenshots and the icmdb page posted here a few times in the past.

The movie you are thinking of looks like it will be coming out next month: http://www.fireproofthemovie.com/

I think the SVX was going to be used as background in a street racing/crash scene.

True, stockers in the begining and flashy rims at the reck...
but it is 100% an SVX that they destroyed. Anyone who has worked on the exhaust i'm sure picked up on the OEM exhaust system when they show the underside.

When you see the car hit the pavement and glass shatter everywhere, it is clearly the svx taillights pointing up in the air

Re: I am still crying after watching this Video

If you notice, there was never any damage or collision shown on the first one... The second was probably a wreck already and just used for another thrashing... So don't get your panties in a bunch. I do like how they actually used the boxer 6 sound during acceleration though... Bad drivers though

Re: I am still crying after watching this Video

Oh gawd the driving was so horrible and the crash was so unrealistic it makes me sick. You'd think it was supposed to be a comedy.

I think what really got to me was not the damage to a good vehicle, but the other videos that are on the pages from this Tv show. There are people that have thrown Manhole Covers, Bowling Balls, Concrete Bags, and other things off of overpasses, and have killed several people doing it. One video in their collection shows two guys roping an Anchor, and hanging it in the way of an oncoming "Lori".
I think the reality of the fact that others do copy these actions is what upsets me about the Type of show this is. But I get your point also. Thanks
